WHAT IS DLC?
Diocesan Liturgy Camp, also known as DLC, is a non-profit organization managed by Diocesan Camping Association in association with the Foundation of Catholic Community Services. DLC is youth camp for children aged six to fifteen that also offers a counselor in training program for campers between the ages of fifteen and sixteen. DLC is committed to giving our campers the opportunity to grow intellectually and physically while challenging them to explore their full creative potential. Having discovered what they are capable of doing, they are equipped to examine their basic Christian values at a level suited to their understanding. Through games and activities, values and choices are presented in an exciting and thought provoking manner.
Activities during the camp week include:
-Swimming and boating
-Arts and crafts
Where it all takes place.
Camp Kinkora is the place! As part of our membership with the Diocesan Camping Association, DLC is privileged to use the facilities of Camp Kinkora for its weeklong summer session. Located in the beautiful Laurentian Mountains, Kinkora boasts its own private lake (Lac de la Borne) with a sandy beach, heated cabins, indoor shower and toilet facilities, a chapel with piano, and an on-site permanent staff. A team of fully qualified lifeguards supervise the swimming and boating facilities available on site. Camper activities take place in the spacious playground, softball diamond and Recreation Hall. Indoor and outdoor campfire sites are available for nighttime activities.
